Have you ever been to Curacao before? Curacao is a magnificent island that is located in the southern Caribbean Sea. This island includes another small island, Klein Curaçao, also known as Little Curaçao, in it but this one is uninhabited till now. There are three popular islands in the southern part of the Caribbean Sea which are known as the ABC, namely, the Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. Out of these three, Curacao is the only one that is considered to be the most populous and is widely visited by travellers.
The things to be done in the island are uncountable but the thing is that you will be able to go for those only after you could get over the delicious foods of the place. Starting with, you can try out its local dish Krioyo and then others like hallaca, stoba, Guiambo, funchi, pekele, pastechi, kadushi, sopi mondongo and others made of fish and seafood. Among sweets kokada- a kind of coconut sweet, ko’i lechi-made of condensed milk and sugar sweet and tentalaria- peanut sweets are famous. Other than the locals dishes there are Surinamese, Indian, Chinese, Dutch and Indonesian dishes as well. Other than that, you can go for diving and swimming in the beaches of the island.
One of the best places to visit found in the Curacao Island is the Dolphin Academy in Curacao. You must go to this place and watch the dolphins going sporty and friendly with human being. You will even get to play water game as well with them. The Christoffel Park, Hato Caves, Curacao Sea Aquarium, Curacao Underwater Park, Ostrich and Game Farm, Shete Boka National Park, En Paradera and Kura Hulanda Museum and several other options are there for you to go.
You can plan your tour to the Curacao Island at anytime between December to April as the weather of the island remains warm and tropical round the year. So, avoiding summer and choosing the mild days will be a smart act.
